Directory of Organizations and Agencies that Support Youth Entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean
The IDB YOUTH Program of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Young Americas Business Trust (YABT), with the
Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development of the Organization of American States (OAS), have created this
Directory of Organizations and Agencies that Support Youth Entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean to
provide youth entrepreneurs, age 15 to 30, and those who assist them with contact information and descriptions of
organizations and agencies that offer youth entrepreneurs products, services and other assistance.
Each organization listed is the result of the participation of a group of dedicated individuals who work to support
the growth of youth entrepreneurship in Latin America and the Caribbean. IDB YOUTH and YABT join these individuals
in their commitment, and hope this directory will provide youth entrepreneurs and those who assist them with
information they need to obtain resources and form new networks. We ultimately see this directory as a tool that
reduces barriers many youth entrepreneurs from the region face when starting and maintaining businesses.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the many organizations and individuals that registered for a
listing in the directory. Their registration demonstrates their interest in giving potential and actual youth
entrepreneurs the means to turn their business ideas into realities. By registering, the organizations listed
in this directory have increased the amount of information that exists regarding youth entrepreneurship in the
region, and thus have helped bolster the youth entrepreneurship sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.
IDB YOUTH and YABT will maintain both printed and electronic versions of this directory in order to disseminate
the information to the largest number of youth entrepreneurs and organizations possible. In order to ensure this
information remains accurate and useful, it is necessary for the registered organizations to contact either IDB
YOUTH or YABT if any of their information changes. We have endeavored to make this Directory as complete as possible
and to verify the information submitted, but in the end, we must rely on the submissions of the individual organizations.
We thank you in advance for your support.
The Inter-American Development Bank and the Young Americas Business Trust, along with the Inter-American Agency for
Cooperation and Development of the Organization of American States, remain committed to supporting youth entrepreneurship
in Latin America and the Caribbean as a means to reverse the high youth unemployment rate and promote economic growth. Both
organizations encourage the formation of partnerships and the sharing of information in order to effectively provide youth
entrepreneurs with real opportunities to improve their well-being, and the well-being of their families and communities.
We have high respect for young entrepreneurs who are building the future of their countries and the Americas through their
energy and talents.
We also know that behind each organization that works with these young people are many dedicated individuals, staff and
volunteers, who are also committed to making the nations of the Americas and each community a better place to live. We
thank you most sincerely.
